Senior Control Systems Engineer

A leading equipment and design consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on specialist projects and contribute to the growth of a fast-paced business.


The Role:
  • Concept design of electrical power and control systems for bespoke equipment
  • Hardware design including component selection and supporting calculations
  • Design of ethernet and serial networks
  • PLC programming (Siemens / Rockwell)
  • Manufacture and assembly support
  • Technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc)
  • Client support – on-site and remote
  • Peer review of engineering designs
  • Travel to customer sites for commissioning activities
The Person:
  • Ideal candidate will have a degree in an engineering discipline
  • Hardware design experience is essential
  • PLC software experience – Siemens or Rockwell preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is useful but not essential
  • Experience of Power Systems or HV is highly desirable for this role
  • Ability to work on projects without direct supervision
  • Flexibility to travel for commissioning outside the UK when required
  • Clear thinker with tenacity to solve technical problems
  • Adaptable and willing to take on challenges
