Senior Control Systems Engineer - The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical power and control systems for bespoke equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Concept design of electrical power and control systems for bespoke equipment
  • Hardware design including component selection and supporting calculations
  • Design of ethernet and serial networks
  • PLC programming (Siemens / Rockwell)
  • Manufacture and assembly support
  • Technical documentation to support equipment (specifications, risk assessments, manuals, etc)
  • Client support – on-site and remote
  • Peer review of engineering designs
  • Travel to customer sites for commissioning activities
Senior Control Systems Engineer - The Person:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer who has a strong background in electrical engineering and control systems design. You will have a degree in an engineering discipline and have experience in hardware design, PLC programming, and technical documentation.

You will be a clear thinker with tenacity to solve technical problems and be adaptable and willing to take on challenges. You will also have the ability to work on projects without direct supervision and be flexible to travel for commissioning outside the UK when required.

Located in Tyne & Wear, this role would be commutable from Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Chester-le-Street and surrounding areas.
