We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Waste Management Consultancy business. Due to the rapid growth of our business in the civil nuclear waste management sector, we require more support to deliver and continue to expand our expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment of different options for waste or environment-related issues using recognised approaches such as BAT and BPM
- Site-end state development projects including data gathering/analysis; options assessments; technical justification
- Waste planning (waste management plans/cases, waste routing, feasibility assessments)
- Support to environmental underpinning activities to satisfy regulatory compliance (e.g. environmental permitting, GRR, environmental management systems
- Stakeholder engagement
- Best practice studies or the development of guidance documentation
- Provision of strategic input to Jacobs' waste retrievals and decommissioning projects, potentially including on-site support
- Production of concise and well-written technical reports and presentation of results to clients
- Degree qualification (or equivalent training and experience) in appropriate mathematical, physical science or engineering discipline.
- Significant experience or more in a comparable consultancy or strategic waste management focussed role (individual candidates need experience of some of the technical topic areas described above, not necessarily all)
- Experience of bid leadership and proposal preparation
- Ability to manage time and priorities while working on several varied projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including tailoring outputs to the requirements of different stakeholders
