Position: IT Project Portfolio Manager


Location: Flexible working arrangements available.


Compensation: £56,000 – £61,967 per annum



Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of defining, planning, and monitoring the projects within your portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various sectors, including regulatory authorities, the external submarines community, and suppliers, ensuring a solid foundation for effective management and successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the success of the portfolio projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while meeting established targets and metrics.
  • Foster strong and supportive relationships among the portfolio team, outsourced project teams, and both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Possess a professional qualification in project management, such as APM/Prince2 or other recognized credentials.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in project management, project execution, and portfolio oversight.
  • Exhibit a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, particularly in collaboration with outsourced partners while adhering to strict governance protocols.
  • Show the ability to coordinate colleagues, volunteers, and contracted parties through effective leadership, motivation, teamwork, supervision, and accountability.
  • Have the capability to manage external IT system partners and suppliers, along with overseeing partners, third parties, projects, and stakeholders.

Joining this team means you will provide project and/or portfolio management expertise to the IT Digital Workplace & Information Systems portfolio, ensuring the successful delivery of key projects related to product, process, and system development.
