About the Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our Electricity Transmission Contract. As a key member of our OHL Delivery Teams, you will be responsible for managing individual projects, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely delivery within defined budgets, without compromise on safety or quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Project/Site Manager on all day-to-day commercial and operational issues
  • Responsible for ensuring Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and Quality Plans are in place for all operational sites
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation is in place, being complied with and regularly reviewed for all site-based activities
  • Supporting the Business Development and Bids teams with technical support at tender and proposal stages
  • Ensuring timely programming and change notifications are communicated to support other internal departments
  • Providing technical support to the Design department as and when required
  • Contributing experience, knowledge, and management support to the Supply Chain functions
  • Principal contact for correspondence and meetings with third parties
  • Working closely with the Head of Operations/Resource Managers to coordinate and allocate resource levels across projects
  • Closing liaison with Site Manager/Project Manager to ensure compliance with and delivery of contractual obligations
  • Working with the Planning and Commercial teams to monitor project progress and recommending changes as required
  • Capturing events impacting costs and programmes in order to timely update project status and forecasts
  • Ensuring contract changes/compensation events are captured, ensuring that impact evaluation on costs and schedules is undertaken with the Commercial team
  • Using the implemented project control mechanism, improving the efficiency and enhancing the profitability of projects, including debt management
  • Contributing to the business requirements for budgeting and forecasting
  • Producing Monthly Contract Review reports
  • Producing Project Closeout Reports
  • Attending MES and client contract review/progress meetings on a regular basis
  • Ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant time bookings, out allowance, and expenses are submitted for all employees within area of responsibility
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate with and support cross-departmental initiatives to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to challenge the norm and drive innovation into all that we do
  • Ability to develop budgets and forecasts, plan and programme resources and activities, and implement KPIs across numerous projects
  • Ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation, time management, and workload planning skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK power transmission markets, clients, and regulatory bodies
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract/project management within infrastructure construction and refurbishment projects
  • A working knowledge of current health and safety legislation
