Pertemps Bond is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Technician to join our team. As a Senior Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and profitability of our business by ensuring that goods are assembled and tested correctly and conform to their respective drawings and test procedures, the ISO9001:2008 quality procedures and the company standards.
Main Responsibilities- Supervision of Technicians: Supervise technicians testing various manifold assemblies, cartridge valves, and customer returns.
- Preparation of Parts: Prepare parts for testing by populating with hydraulic fittings, connecting hoses, gauges, and other equipment.
- Testing and Repair: Test hydraulic manifold assemblies and cartridge valves using the test rigs provided to test procedures and hydraulic circuits. Supervise junior technicians in these tasks. Repair and test customer returns, including taking apart cartridges, valves, and assemblies, washing and replacing parts as required. Test to data sheets or test specs to ensure correct function. Submit relevant paperwork following repair.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Clean parts with equipment provided, ensure parts are free from defects and contamination. Assemble parts to drawings provided, including the assembly of cartridge valves and hydraulic manifold assemblies. Paint engravings on machined parts with paint and equipment provided. Complete relevant labels and paperwork.
- Data Entry and Administration: Data entry using a Sage 200 system. Light warehouse duties, including the preparation of parts for processing at external suppliers. Maintain a log of overtime hours worked and submit to the Production Manager for authorization on a monthly basis.
- Training and Development: Attend training courses when requested and maintain knowledge and skills required for your duties, including product training, visiting the parent company facilities in Switzerland if requested.
- Logistics and Communication: Delivering/collecting parts from customers/suppliers as and when required.
- Assembly/Manufacturing Experience: Assembly/manufacturing experience.
- Hydraulic Testing Experience: Experience of hydraulic testing desirable.
- Hydraulic Knowledge: Knowledge of hydraulic drawings and circuits desirable.
- Quality Control: Use of gauges and Quality Procedures ISO9001:2008.
- Commercial Awareness: Commercial awareness.
- Sage 200 System: Sage 200 system.
- Numerate and Literate: Numerate and literate.
- Assembly Drawings: Read and understand assembly drawings and test instructions.
- Quality Control: Quality control.
- Communication and Teamwork: Good communication and team player.
- Time Management: Effective interpretation of instructions. Proactive and capable of planning ahead and time management.
- Adaptability: Adaptable and capable of managing changing priorities and tasks.
