Key Responsibilities

As our Resource Allocation Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Collaborating with fellow Resource Controllers to ensure effective and efficient scheduling of appointments across teams, providing coverage during absences such as leave or training.
  • Coordinating repair appointments based on the skills, availability, and proximity of our Operatives to ensure timely service delivery while minimizing travel and idle time.
  • Proactively planning for future appointments and addressing any potential issues that may hinder meeting scheduled times, communicating concerns with the Lead Resource Controller.
  • Monitoring the job management system to take necessary actions when required and seeking assistance from supervisors when uncertain.
  • Overseeing the Operative screen to ensure timely arrivals at jobs.
  • Understanding the complete process of delivering exceptional repairs and your role in achieving this, as well as the responsibilities of others involved.
  • Assisting Office Supervisors in ensuring all staff maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service.
  • Providing timely and accurate feedback regarding service quality and performance issues to Office Supervisors.
  • Utilizing manual metrics to assess the performance of logistical and resourcing processes to maintain and enhance service levels.
  • Taking responsibility for your own Health & Safety and collaborating with the Company and your supervisor to adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Embodying the Mountjoy ethos and values in all interactions.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics and English at grade C or above.
  • Experience in an operational or logistical resourcing role.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an Operations Centre within a Building Maintenance Contract.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance trades and their respective tasks (desirable).
  • Familiarity with the geographical area of Portsmouth (desirable).
