Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a leading manufacturer of switchgear and associated products, is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our global team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for maintaining relations with suppliers, placing orders for raw materials and purchased parts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts according to production requirements.
  • Receive and handle confirmations, and check purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to avoid overstocking and minimize the risk of obsolescence.
  • Correspond with freight forwarders, warehouses, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics.
  • Deal with claims, settle debit and credit issues, and maintain accurate records.
  • Check inventory levels and resolve any discrepancies with warehouse personnel.
  • Handle purchasing data privacy and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assure timely delivery of critical materials according to production needs.
  • Review requisitions and MRP output, and confer with vendors to obtain product information.
  • Order, reschedule, and cancel material based on requisitions and MRP output.
  • Maintain procurement records, including items purchased, costs, delivery, and inventories.
  • Manage supplier performance, including price, delivery, and quality expectations.
  • Approve invoices for payment and investigate inventory levels.
  • Monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle.
  • Conduct quarterly supplier reviews and maintain procurement records, reports, and metrics.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years of procurement experience.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as English language knowledge, data entry, and ten-key skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively to customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
