Job Description

Opus People Solutions Ltd is seeking an Environmental Health and Community Safety Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Integrate environmental health and community safety into one service, including the Community Wardens.
  • Manage responsibilities regarding environmental health and community safety, including food safety, health and safety, industrial pollution, nuisance, envirocrime, private housing enforcement, contaminated land, air quality, water quality, caravan site licensing, and community safety.
  • Liaise and work with partners and other organisations to maintain and enhance environmental health and community safety, particularly in relation to relevant strategies, policies, and activities.
  • Demonstrate commitment and leadership within the service to achieve transformational change, encourage and support innovation to deliver high-quality, efficient, and effective services for our citizens.
  • Effectively manage the unit's resources, including budget preparation, service plan development, monitoring, and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to control the performance of the unit.
  • Be responsible for ensuring robust and appropriate corporate health and safety arrangements.
