Job Title: Project Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead our projects from initiation to completion. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure work is being carried out according to the project plan and specifications.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations and standards are strictly followed on-site and conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Monitor the quality of work being performed on-site to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications and implement quality assurance processes and address any issues or defects promptly.
  • Act as the primary on-site point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors and provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from the project plan.
  • Track the progress of on-site activities against the project schedule and milestones, prepare and submit daily or weekly progress reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that all work on-site is carried out in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and contractual obligations and verify that any changes or modifications are documented and approved.
  • Monitor on-site expenditures and manage the project budget effectively and report any potential budget overruns and implement measures to control costs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily logs, timesheets, and material receipts along with ensuring that all project documentation is properly filed and accessible.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors to ensure they meet their contractual obligations and conduct regular meetings with subcontractors to review progress and address any issues.
  • Identify potential risks and hazards on-site and develop mitigation strategies and monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all on-site activities comply with environmental regulations and standards and implement practices to minimize the environmental impact of the project.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of managing multiple onsite projects simultaneously, from initiation to completion within the tool hire or construction industry.
  • Strong background in building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Commercially astute and performance focused to ensure people strategy is inline to support company growth.
