Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead project management activities across one or more of our company's assets. This is a unique opportunity to be a major contributor to the success of a well-positioned and well-funded cutting-edge biotech company, employing a truly novel corporate model focused on driving synergies across all aspects of R&D and operations to develop transformative medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting and documenting of initial key project milestones, timelines, dependencies, and goals in discussion with company leadership.
  • Ongoing monitoring of planned project timelines and milestones and tracking of all key project activities, including logging of the most recent status and planned next steps, and providing regular updates and timely prompts to company leadership on outstanding project tasks and activities.
  • Manage grant funding applications and grant-funded project work.
  • Assessment and implementation of fit-for-purpose software tools for project task management.
  • Drafting and management of contractor documentation and agreements (i.e., MSA, work orders, CDA).
  • Maintaining relevant project documentation and plans in an accessible and organized manner on company shared drives.
  • Management of key project meetings and documenting and tracking actions and outcomes.
  • Contribute/lead the financial management of projects, including tracking expenditure and providing project financial information to assist with budget and cash flow forecasts as required.
  • Taking a lead role in managing an external data room as appropriate.
  • Complete all appropriate GXP/SOP training and adhere to all role-specific SOP requirements.
  • Assist with relationship management – tracking status of interactions with key project partners and collaborators (including advisors and consultants).
  • Contribute to strategy decisions by being a key member of the multidisciplinary and integrated leadership team.
  • Assisting with consolidating activities against financial milestones as required.
  • Providing assistance with investor presentations and Board meeting materials as required.

Requirements

  • A life sciences degree or experience in industry being involved and leading drug discovery projects.
  • Demonstrates successful organization skills and full project management lifecycle experience.
  • Experience of the legal, contractual, and financial aspects in small biotech.
  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and influence both internally and externally.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly and flexibly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingness to do what needs to be done.
  • Live and promote the company values.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management tools.
  • Project Management Training (e.g., Scrum with Kanban (PSK), Professional (PMI) / PRINCE II certification or equivalent).
