Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Twickenham. As a key member of our Civils team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of projects, attending project meetings, and serving as the technical lead for the design team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage projects from site feasibility through to project completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality expectations.
  2. Develop and mentor staff, focusing on assisting them to gain professional accreditation.
  3. Contribute to the development of our UK practice, including technical excellence, culture, procedures, professional development, and continuous improvement.
  4. Lead a team of experienced civil/infrastructure engineers, managing workload, technical, and commercial aspects.
  5. Collaborate with clients, architects, planners, and other property professionals throughout the development life cycle.
  6. Establish new client relationships and develop existing ones through excellent project delivery and repeat business.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of business strategies.
  8. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for project team members and fulfill health and safety responsibilities in design.
  9. Represent the company at consultants' meetings and coordinate project activities.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects from a technical and client perspective.
  2. Knowledge of approval processes, including Local Authorities, EA, and Water Company requirements.
  3. Financial and risk awareness, with a good reputation in the local marketplace.
  4. Experience in the house building sector and knowledge of civil engineering packages, such as Civils 3D and Micro Drainage.
