Job Title: Senior Event Manager

Job Summary:

Benchmark Sport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Event Manager to join our Live Experiences team. As a Senior Event Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of large-scale corporate events, including the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay, across multiple global locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage and execute annual Bloomberg Square Mile Relay races and other Benchmark Sport events, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.
  • Oversee and manage local event delivery agencies, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Manage event budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost savings.
  • Coordinate with event suppliers on all event aspects, including production, licensing, operations, catering, logistics, staffing, participant experience, and finance.
  • Collaborate with the Client Experience and Communications team to ensure best-in-class customer servicing and experience.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Digital teams on marketing, PR, and communications initiatives.
  • Travel to event locations with the team during the week of event delivery.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with local delivery agencies, event suppliers, and Benchmark Sport staff.
  • Support the delivery of Benchmark Sport's sustainability commitment by reducing the impact of live events and empowering suppliers to align with our values.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in large event projects, ideally in sport or mass participation events.
  • Robust project management skills and budget management experience.
  • The ability to multi-task and work efficiently on concurrent projects.
  • Attention to detail across all aspects of work and event planning, including communications.
  • A willingness to travel and work with different cultures in foreign environments.
  • IT literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexible and open to change.
  • Passionate about health, wellbeing, and live events.
