Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Lead Technician to join our team as a key member of our HIU team. As a Lead Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a team of installation technicians, overseeing the installation, retrofit, and repair of appliances, pipework, electrical systems, AMR, and metering systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Manage a team of installation technicians, ensuring high standards in installation, retrofit, and repair projects.
  2. Technical Oversight: Lead and oversee the installation, retrofit, and repair of appliances, pipework, electrical systems, AMR, and metering systems.
  3. Project Management: Responsible for project planning, management, and completion, including network improvements, team training, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and KPIs.
  4. Team Development: Provide training, mentoring, and development for technicians, ensuring they meet high competency standards.
  5. Operational Supervision: Oversee the commissioning, testing, and safety checks of new systems, ensuring they meet company standards.
  6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to company safety rules and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement and sharing best practices.
Requirements
  1. Some project management experience, and KPI management required.
  2. Relevant engineering or technician qualifications (e.g., HND, HNC, NVQ3).
  3. Extensive knowledge of DHN infrastructure, boilers, electrical circuits, AMR systems, heat pumps, and HIUs.
  4. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., Building Regulations, CP).
  5. Proficient in IT, particularly MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Project and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) job logic or Microsoft Dynamics.
  6. Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. IOSH Managing Safely, CP1 2020 Course, E.ON Authorized Engineer, Part P Electrical.
  2. Understanding of CES engineering, safety, and HR processes.
