Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Brellis Recruitment Ltd. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and services, while also contributing to the development of our quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management: Ensure that our local Quality Management System is compliant with the agreed scope, while maintaining ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in cross-functional team meetings to evaluate and develop new products or changes related to current products, ensuring compliance with customer and legislative requirements.
  • Quality KPIs: Support and monitor quality KPIs through the project phase to ensure that project targets are being achieved with evidence.
  • Non-Conformance & Concern Management: Co-ordinate customer, supplier, and internal quality concerns, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Containment, Corrective, and Preventive Actions: Manage the identification and implementation of effective containment, corrective, and preventive actions using the Global 8D approach.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training and toolbox talks related to quality activities, and contribute to business improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Report site KPIs/metrics to the business, highlighting performance, compliance, and improvement initiatives, and generate improvement action plans where gaps are identified.
  • Quality Control Systems: Implement and manage robust quality control systems and processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Audits and Compliance: Schedule and plan internal audits at appropriate intervals, address raised issues, and implement corrective actions to close out non-conformances.
  • Customer Certifications: Manage and maintain customer-specific certifications and audits aligned to their expectations.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy: Comply with the requirements of the company Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Drawings and Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Administrative and Organisational Skills: Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and experience in an ISO-compliant environment.
  • Internal Audits and Compliance Systems: Previous experience conducting internal audits and managing compliance systems.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies, such as 8D.
  • Process Input Variables: Ability to manage systems to ensure process input variables are in specification.
  • Inspection Processes and Equipment: Knowledge and experience of inspection processes and equipment.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action Tools: Use of root cause and corrective action tools, e.g., 8D, Cause and effect diagram, 5 Whys, 5 W&H, Pareto diagram.
