About the Role

We are currently seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineer Lead to join our team at our facility in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing Equipment Failure Data: Identify trends and patterns in equipment failure data to inform maintenance strategies.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to identify underlying problems and develop solutions to prevent them.
  • Maintenance Procedure Design: Design and implement new maintenance procedures for equipment monitoring and testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Technological Innovation: Research and implement innovative technologies and processes to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for employees, collaborating with other departments to integrate reliability across the organization.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Monitor property, facilities, and equipment conditions, identifying maintenance needs and implementing upkeep schedules.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness, overseeing preventative maintenance processes.
  • Facility Maintenance: Research and implement best practices for facility maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractors on site carrying out engineering and other works, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Maintenance Staff Performance Management: Evaluate, train, and develop maintenance staff, providing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Around 10 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the manufacturing of liquid coatings and technical knowledge of liquid coatings.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, adaptability, and experience within the chemical industry.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of systems, equipment, and processes, including knowledge of engineering principles and specific systems used at an organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, as well as collaborate effectively with others.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively, including planning, scheduling, and organizing.
  • Data Management: Ability to use statistical analysis tools and interpret and communicate the results of the analysis.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing ways to continuously improve reliability.
  • Safety-Conscious: Ability to identify potential hazards and take necessary steps to mitigate them.
  • Process Hazard Awareness: Technical understanding of process safety requirements and ability to maintain legal compliance to UK legislation.
