DA Litigated Fraud File Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a DA Litigated Fraud File Handler. As a key member of our counter-fraud division, you will play a crucial role in advancing our legal career and contributing to the delivery of legal excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a DA Litigated Fraud File Handler, you will be responsible for managing a range of suspected fraudulent insurance claims, including bogus passenger, staged/contrived, fraudulent exaggeration, induced accidents, low speed impact, late notification claims, credit hire fraud, and linked & organized claims.

Key Accountabilities

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Running fraud cases from the point of litigation through to resolution
  • Strategic excellence, including detailed review and analysis of evidence, setting case strategy, and identifying strategic litigation opportunities
  • Client excellence, including running files in accordance with client guidelines, ensuring maximum client satisfaction, and achieving client and internal KPIs
  • Technical excellence, including liaising with stakeholders, complying with procedural and investigative deadlines, and achieving the best result in litigation
  • Financial excellence, including being commercially aware, working within a fixed fee price, and achieving financial targets

Essential Skills and Attributes

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in civil litigation claims handling or a suitably qualified background
  • Experience of handling RTA pre-litigated and/or litigated case loads
  • An understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes, together with indemnity principles
  • Knowledge of the litigation process, including the CPR and relevant Personal Injury Protocols
  • Good advocacy skills, client care skills, and analytical skills
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, keep to deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience of time recording and billing systems
