About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigated Motor Fraud Lawyer to join our team at Keoghs. As a Litigated Handler, you will be responsible for managing a range of suspected fraudulent insurance claims from the point of litigation through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Excellence:
    • Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of evidence throughout the life of the case
    • Set the case strategy, ensuring adherence to any key objectives or generic strategies
    • Adhere to all work type process stages
    • Identify strategic litigation opportunities and complex cases
    • Identify client trends and opportunities to raise profile with clients
  • Client Excellence:
    • Run files in accordance with agreed client guidelines
    • Ensure maximum client satisfaction on each case
    • Accurately and timely complete all client and internal MI
    • Achieve both client and internal KPIs
  • Technical Excellence:
    • Liaise with all relevant parties to carry out agreed investigations
    • Comply with all procedural and investigative deadlines
    • Achieve the best result in litigation, protecting the client's position
    • Deal proactively with case investigations and strategy
    • Delegate tasks as appropriate to assistants
    • Maintain accurate records in Case Management Systems
  • Financial Excellence:
    • Work efficiently and effectively within a fixed fee price
    • Retain profitability
    • Achieve financial targets
    • Ensure timely and accurate billing
Requirements
  • Experience in civil litigation claims handling or as a legal File Handler
  • Experience of handling RTA pre-litigated and/or litigated case load
  • Understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes
  • Knowledge of the litigation process and relevant Personal Injury Protocols
  • Good advocacy and client care skills
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work, keep to deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience of time recording and billing systems
