Cascade Operator/Forklift Driver

Greenvale AP, a leading grower and packer of fresh potatoes, is seeking a skilled Cascade Operator to join our team at our Duns site in the Scottish Borders. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the constant operation of the Cascade System, monitoring chemical usage, and performing forklift duties within the Washlines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the Cascade System, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Monitor and record chemical usage, reporting any issues to the Engineering Manager
  • Conduct regular checks, including HACCP, PH, temperature, and water standard
  • Perform forklift duties within the Washlines, adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Key Attributes:

  • Valid Forklift licence of ITSAAR, AITT, or RTITB standard
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work nights, Monday to Thursday, with a salary of £13.85 per hour. The role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
