Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees are aware of their EHS responsibilities and are equipped to work safely.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into business operations and decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain EHS records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar EHS role, preferably in a COMAH industry.
  • Proven track record of implementing effective EHS programs and improving safety performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
