Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Services Team Leader to join our team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Sterile Services department, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Sterile Services Operatives, ensuring the highest standards of sterilisation and decontamination are maintained.

Main Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Sterile Services Operatives, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery

Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards

Coordinate daily operations, including prioritisation of workload and ensuring timely processing of instruments

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines

Collaborate closely with clinical departments to understand and meet their needs

Requirements

Previous experience of working in a production or quality controlled environment

Experience of working to tight deadlines and coordinating a production process

Sound understanding of the quality management system ISO 13485:2016 for medical devices

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, motivate and develop others
