The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced ESG Assurance Director to lead our growing ESG assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering ESG assurance and advisory services to a wide range of clients across various industries.
About the Role:
As the ESG Assurance Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of experts in providing ESG assurance and advisory services to clients. You will be responsible for:
- Staying up-to-date with changes to sustainability and ESG regulations and reporting requirements
- Originating and developing a pipeline of prospects for ESG assurance services
- Ensuring the team's practices and service offerings are compliant with assurance standards
- Partnering with senior executives on complex ESG issues, negotiating and influencing where required
- Utilizing your understanding of ESG and market insights on trends and technology to identify opportunities for client growth and development
- Maintaining the quality of engagements, with a focus on improvement and feedback
- Motivating and encouraging the team, providing timely constructive feedback
- Leading the ESG assurance team through a period of growth and expansion
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience leading non-audit assurance teams specializing in ESG
- Experience in designing and implementing non-audit assurance work programs
- Comfortable delivering ESG advisory projects, including double materiality assessments, gap analysis, and maturity assessments
- High-level familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including ISSB and CSRD
- Ideal qualifications include ACA or equivalent
