About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Renal Psychology Service at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality psychological services to patients with renal disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based psychological interventions for patients with renal disease.
  • Provide consultation and training to multidisciplinary teams on psychological aspects of renal care.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of service policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor junior psychologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in research and audit activities to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
  • Active registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
  • Proven experience of working in clinical health psychology settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
