Job Title: Part-Time Art Teacher/Instructor, SEMH Alternative Provision

Location: East of England, Essex, Epping

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time Hours

Salary:

£100 - £140 Per Day

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging art lesson plans for students in a SEMH alternative provision setting
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to students' social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure the holistic development of students
  • Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment, adhering to school policies and procedures
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for art, teaching at GCSE Level
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Art or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar setting

Key Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Strong classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Art Education
  • Training or certification in special education or mental health support
Working Conditions:
  • Part-time hours, Monday & Wednesdays
  • Temporary position to cover sickness

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
