Fluent Mandarin Treasury Business Leader

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified candidate with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the UK financial sector. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role.

Role Summary:
The selected individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the Treasury business operations, providing trading assistance, conducting liquidity risk assessments, performing financial evaluations, managing risk controls, and overseeing project initiatives. The role requires producing analytical reports to facilitate informed decision-making by senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Management: Collaborate with the line manager on business management duties, including management information (MI), key performance indicators (KPI), early warning indicators (EWI), key risk indicators (KRI), risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), end-to-end mapping, and budget oversight.
- Trading Support: Maintain the Trader Mandate and implement authorization processes within the Treasury framework; manage counterparty relationships; prepare documentation for risk limit applications; assist with Know Your Customer (KYC) processes; and ensure accurate transaction verification.
- Liquidity Management: Support the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) team in monitoring liquidity risks and conducting analyses. Develop tools to enhance predictive capabilities and scenario evaluations.
- Financial Analysis: Evaluate the Treasury's contribution to the overall financial performance of the organization.
- Risk Control: Identify and manage credit, liquidity, market, and operational risks; monitor exposure and limit usage; analyze profit and loss (PnL) metrics; and escalate risk events as necessary.
- Project Involvement: Assist the line manager with New Product Approvals and Business Requirement Documentation for system enhancements, including automation of reports and development of liquidity and risk metrics.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (MSc preferred).
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Strong knowledge of foreign exchange (FX), interest rates, money market, and other Treasury products.
- In-depth understanding of Treasury risk management and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated skills in communication, decision-making, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in VBA and spreadsheets.
