About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Staff Psychology Service, you will play a vital role in providing psychological support to our staff, helping them to manage the emotional impact of working in the NHS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and formulation for teams and staff members.
  • Develop and deliver bespoke interventions and resources to support staff wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify needs across clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Contribute to the development of proactive initiatives such as reflective practice and supervision.
  • Engage with leaders to promote practices that support staff wellbeing.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied Psychology.
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of working in an Acute Hospital setting.
  • Ability to engage with clients and work effectively in highly distressing and challenging circumstances.
