Role Overview:
As the UK Gas and Power Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in supervising and enhancing gas and power operations throughout the UK and select regions in Europe. Your main goal will be to guarantee the efficient and sustainable delivery of gas and power to satisfy regional customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute strategic plans for commodity distribution across UK and EU markets.
- Oversee daily gas and power operations with a focus on efficiency.
- Ensure precise and timely scheduling of gas and power activities.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while managing market volatility.
- Collaborate with trading teams and manage auction strategies.
- Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Promote innovation in operational systems and infrastructure.
- Provide guidance and support to team members.
Ideal Candidate:
- Significant experience in power and gas operations within the UK and EU markets.
- Familiarity with carbon registry management and trading of power/gas.
- Proficient in Python and VBA programming.
- Proven expertise in strategic planning and engaging stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A collaborative team player with a persuasive approach.
