Job Summary:

Orion Electrotech Rail Careers is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients in the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide field service support for bus transmission systems, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Diagnose and repair problems at customer locations and other sites, utilizing your technical expertise and knowledge of rail electrotech systems.
  • Replace large parts or systems when necessary, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote product performance and share service opportunities, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Offer technical support and advice to sales staff, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to effectively promote our products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure their needs are met.
  • Report safety issues to Health & Safety managers, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and customers.
  • Work with customers to minimize vehicle downtime, reducing the impact on their operations and increasing overall efficiency.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
  • Complete jobs at company workshops when required, ensuring all work is done to the highest standard and on time.
  • Finish paperwork and engineering reports on time, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various and sometimes challenging environments, with a strong focus on adaptability and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse teams and customers effectively.
  • Strong technical knowledge of rail electrotech systems and bus transmission systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in fast-paced environments.
