About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team at the University of Oxford. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our multiple sites, ensuring that all buildings and systems are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, planned, and preventative maintenance tasks across all university buildings, ensuring all work is logged on our help desk system.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and welfare regulations, completing and documenting all necessary procedures.
  • Supervise contractors, providing inductions, monitoring safety, and ensuring work areas are properly managed.
  • Assist skilled technicians with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and carry out basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, basic plumbing, and carpentry.
Requirements
  • Strong DIY and maintenance skills, including plumbing, carpentry, and decorating.
  • Significant recent experience in building maintenance within highly serviced environments.
  • A full, clean UK driving license.
  • Proficiency in using hand/power tools and associated safety equipment.
  • The Right to Work within the UK.
