Specialty Doctor in Breast Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialty Doctor in Breast Surgery to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy breast surgical service, providing breast screening to a large population and treating a significant number of new breast cancers.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in one-stop symptomatic, wound check, and results clinics
- Contribute to the care of in-patients and out-patients clinics
- Assist in theatre, participating in operating lists and independent operating under supervision
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care
- Teach BSMS students attending the unit
- Basic medical degree qualification
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- Four years post-graduation, with foundation year training completed
- Experience in breast surgery (desirable)
- Evidence of experience in all aspects of breast assessment, diagnosis, and interpretation of investigations
- Understanding of clinical risk management
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
- Ability to communicate well with patients and staff
