We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Breast Surgeon to join our Integrated Breast Service at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our breast surgical service.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will participate in one-stop symptomatic, wound check, and results clinics, contributing to the care of in-patients and out-patients at Brighton. They will also assist in theatre, participating in operating lists and independent operating under supervision, as well as undertaking administrative duties associated with patient care and teaching BSMS students attending the unit.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have a basic medical degree qualification, full GMC registration, and four years of post-graduation experience, including foundation year training. They will also have evidence of experience in all aspects of breast assessment, diagnosis, and interpretation of investigations, as well as a good understanding of clinical risk management and equalities issues.
Key Skills and Qualities
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-professional team. They will also have a strong commitment to teaching and learning, with evidence of an interest and commitment to teaching and a recognised teaching qualification.
