We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Environmental and Sustainable Development team. As Head of Environmental Sustainability, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and technical expertise to ensure the effective management of environmental and sustainable development risks and opportunities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Environmental and Sustainable Development strategy, aligned with Network Rail's overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Environmental and Sustainable Development team, ensuring the effective management of environmental and sustainable development risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure the integration of environmental and sustainable development considerations into business decision-making.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners, to ensure Network Rail's compliance with environmental and sustainable development regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the organization on environmental and sustainable development matters, including risk assessment, mitigation, and management.
- Proven experience in leading environmental and sustainable development teams or functions.
- Strong technical expertise in environmental and sustainable development, including risk assessment, mitigation, and management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
