AWE is currently seeking a skilled Project Planner to support the delivery of comprehensive planning capabilities within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and collaborating with the Task Manager to ensure schedule integrity and effective communication with programme and business teams.
This role involves working closely with the Project Controls teams across the business on a diverse range of projects, all of which operate in highly regulated environments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience using Primavera P6 for planning, managing, and executing project work, as well as a solid understanding of NEC4 Contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain EVM compliant IMS in accordance with functional procedures and guidelines.
- Validate and verify schedule data provided by suppliers (internal and external to AWE) prior to incorporation within IMS.
- Provide planning input to projects throughout the lifecycle at the appropriate level.
- Support the Senior Planner with emergent projects as directed by Business Management Manager.
- Maintain personal level of subject matter expertise.
- Demonstrable experience in development, integration, and analysis of project plans.
- Knowledge or experience of using best practice planning processes and tools.
- Knowledge and understanding of confidence modeling processes and techniques.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills focused on achieving and maintaining effective working relationships to meet project goals.
- Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to read and interpret charts and spreadsheets.
- Ability to manage priorities and work to challenging timescales.
- Ability to deliver objectives on time and to high quality with minimum supervision.
- Proactive approach and team player.
- Competitive salary range: £38,000 to £45,000 (dependent on suitability and level of experience).
- Annual leave: 270 hours (at least 25 days plus bank holidays), and every other Friday off work.
