**Senior Planner - Inside IR35**
**Contract Term: 6 months**
**Contracting Authority: AWE**
**Location: Hybrid Working (2-3 days per week office based - Aldermaston, Reading)**

Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. **Job Purpose**:
You will be part of the PMO Integrated Environment Tools and Systems Workstream leadership Team
contributing to the definition of P3M’s technical strategy for IT infrastructure and tools and support its implementation in order to embrace best practice and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Programme delivery and PMO support including benefits definition and business case production.
You will work with stakeholders to analyse P3M Business context and derive the Technology Architecture future state. This includes:
Defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for P3M.
Drive innovation by leveraging new technologies and approaches to transform the existing programme delivery.
Contributes to the planning and managing of the programme of maintenance, upgrades and renewals
Collaborate with the IS Function to ensure alignment and compliance with the Enterprise architecture and coordinate and prioritise implementation activities
Contribute to the development and roll-out of training requirements for tools & systems
**As a Senior Planner, your main responsibilities would be**:
- Providing Planning expertise to internal customers within the projects supported.
Implementing Planning processes, policies and procedures within the projects supported.
- Producing Planning and EV deliverables in accordance with agreed business rhythm within the projects.
- Delivery of long range operational integrated Programme Planning activities.
Supporting the Business Management Manager with emergent projects as directed by Business Controller.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with and awareness of key project stakeholders.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
- Delivering Project Controls Planning and EVM expertise and analysis for projects, to produce accurate and timely schedule forecast information to enable business decision-making.
- Quality of EV variance analysis for schedule performance. (SPI)
- Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the end-to-end Planning processes and the production and maintenance of associated policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Supporting the delivery of Planning tools and EVMS, templates and training to internal customers.
- Reviewing project WBS and agreeing / recommending changes to the Project’s Control Manager.
- Providing Planning expertise to internal customers within the projects supported.
