Quantinuum is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an AMO Intern. As a research assistant, you will play a crucial role in advancing our quantum computing technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research and experiments in a laboratory environment to collect data on system performance and characterize device characteristics.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to implement new solutions on existing research systems.
- Provide documentation of your work throughout the internship.
- Work on a project that culminates in a presentation to leaders in the organization.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Physics, Engineering Physics, or a related major.
- Graduating on or after December 2024.
- Must be a U.S. person (defined as, U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status).
- Experience working with common AMO laboratory equipment, such as Acousto-optics, electro-optics, lasers, RF electronics, or cryogenics.
- Experience with laser cooling and trapping neutral atoms or ions.
