Job Title: Senior SQL Server Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Developer to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing databases to support our business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement databases to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server clustering, high availability, and always-on availability groups
  • Monitor and report on database performance, ensuring optimal performance in regulated environments
  • Develop and maintain SQL infrastructure solutions, including database design and multi-tier IT architecture
  • Collaborate with project teams to support database activities, including design, build, and implementation tasks

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with SQL Server administration, including clustering, high availability, and always-on availability groups
  • Excellent understanding of Windows failover clustering and SQL administration
  • Ability to quickly understand problems and provide root cause analysis and resolution
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
