Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to join our dynamic team within the Women and Children's division at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of pharmaceutical care provided to our paediatric patients.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver expert pharmaceutical care, collaborating closely with lead pharmacists to develop, assess, and coordinate clinical pharmacy services aligned with departmental goals.
- Engage in clinical governance activities, contributing to risk management and audit processes.
- Participate in the education and training of pharmacy staff, including the supervision of undergraduate students and pre-registration pharmacists.
- Encourage inter-professional learning and contribute to joint educational initiatives with other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Master of Pharmacy degree from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Experience and Skills
Essential experience includes:
- Prior pharmacy practice in the UK, either as a qualified or trainee pharmacist.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a clear understanding of the foundation progression programme.
Desirable attributes include:
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
- Knowledge of paediatric pharmacy practices.
