About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Colorectal and General Surgery to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including outpatient clinics, elective operating, and inpatient care.
  • Lead clinical teams and contribute to the development of our services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver acute on-call services and contribute to research, teaching, and new developments within the department.
  • Drive service improvements, including productivity and performance against key access indicators.
Requirements
  • Hold full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) or CESR.
  • Should have completed a recognised training programme in General Surgery with a Colorectal subspecialty interest.
  • MB BS (or equivalent) and FRCS or equivalent qualification.
  • CCT with subspecialty accreditation in Colorectal Surgery (or within six months of same) or equivalent qualification.
