About the Role
Leeds Teaching Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Colorectal and General Surgery to join our team. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care, including outpatient clinics, elective operating, and inpatient care.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including junior doctors, nurses, and other support staff.
- Contribute to the development of our surgical services, including the development of new procedures and treatments.
- Work collaboratively with other Consultants and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in research and education activities, including the development of new treatments and procedures.
Requirements
- Hold full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) CESR (or) international applicants should comply with the GMC specialty registration process.
- Should have completed a recognised training programme in General Surgery with a Colorectal subspecialty interest.
- MB BS (or equivalent).
- FRCS or equivalent qualification.
- CCT with subspecialty accreditation in Colorectal Surgery (or within six months of same) or equivalent qualification.
