Job Title: Principal Structural Designer - Marine Structures and Seating

We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Designer to join our team at Expleo Technology. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for technically supporting the delivery of complex marine defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate technical functions to ensure project requirements are met
  • Develop capabilities to support project delivery
  • Support checking of deliverables and continuous process improvement
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team leaders and members
  • Consult on planning activities and impact of additional scope and change
  • Work with the Technical Authority and functional team to provide technical governance
  • Support risk assessments and identify cost-saving initiatives
  • Develop team members and consult on training needs
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND/Degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience of marine hardware, systems requirements, and standards
  • Leadership experience in engineering teams
  • Strong engineering background and customer-facing experience
  • Marine defence experience preferred
