Finance Assistant Role Overview

We are partnering with a reputable company in Stoke on Trent to find a skilled Finance Assistant to join their small finance team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll through Xero, ensuring accuracy and completeness of timesheets
  • Prepare and post payroll journal entries
  • Support credit control by chasing outstanding debts and sending monthly statements
  • Post receipts and reconcile statements from suppliers
  • Prepare weekly reports for management and oversee purchase invoice processing
  • Assist with other ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role within a finance department
  • Proficiency in using Xero is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
