Project Design and Delivery Lead

Job Purpose:
To oversee the interior design and fit-out process across all phases of our projects at March Construction, ensuring every aspect of the design, material selection, and project execution meets client expectations and company standards. This role ensures the flawless execution of everything the client sees, touches, and feels, from the start of the construction project through to its completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client selections and assist in creating highly polished proposals, mood boards, presentations, 3D imagery, detailed designs, and documentation.
- Ensure high levels of customer care and satisfaction alongside prompt and clear communication.
- Produce detailed technical drawings, elevations, and plans using CAD, SketchUp, and Virtual Worlds.
- Source and select materials, finishes, and furnishings aligned with design concepts and budgets.
- Price out client selections and handle contract variations.
- Apply construction knowledge to refine design details and ensure design accuracy during the fit-out phase.
- Deliver the construction details and buildups that support the finishes and provide accurate setting out information for the construction team at the earlier stages of the project.
- Provide on-site support, participate in site visits, and attend project meetings to address design challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate terms.
Key Relationships:
- Reports to the Contracts Manager.
- Collaborates internally with the Site Manager, Project Manager, Contracts Manager, and procurement team.
- Liaises with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders.
Personal Qualities and Attributes:
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- High attention to detail, commitment to quality, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Commercial awareness, balancing design quality with cost considerations.
- Client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
- Right to work in the UK mandatory without the need for sponsorship and/or visa.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, Virtual Worlds, and other design software.
- Strong understanding of joinery, construction details, and project sequencing.
- In-depth product knowledge.
- Experience in sourcing materials and managing suppliers.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to produce highly presentable design packages for clients (experience with graphic design software would be desirable).
Working Environment:
- Office-based with regular site visits to oversee design implementation.
- Interaction with various stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and on-site teams.
Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous training and professional development to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Attend relevant courses and workshops to enhance design and project management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
