About the Role

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Repeat Prescription Coordinator. This is a fixed-term/secondment position for 12 months to meet the needs of our service.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide confidential administrative support to the Repeat Prescription Hub, managing calls to the service and determining the repeat prescription requirements for individual patients. They will be responsible for accessing patients' GP records, selecting the correct medication, dose, and quantity, printing and processing prescriptions, and ensuring timely delivery to GP practices for authorisation.

The post holder will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of prescriptions printed and delivered, liaising with GPs and pharmacies, and responding to enquiries from patients, care homes, social workers, and pharmacies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare environment, particularly one dealing with medicines, and/or experience working on the telephone in a call centre environment. They will possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and be educated to GCSE level or equivalent. A working knowledge of Emis and Vision GP software systems is also desirable.
