Print prescriptions using the GP clinical system to a high degree of accuracy and ensuretimely delivery to appropriate GP practice for authorisation. To keep appropriate records of all prescriptions printed and delivered and the meansof delivery. To liaise with, and inform GPs and Pharmacies of changes to prescriptions and ensurepatients are kept informed and provided with updated information. To respond to enquiries from GPs, Patients, care homes, social workers andPharmacies regarding prescriptions.
With the Lead Technician, be responsible for the maintenance and management of theprescription databases ensuring accurate and timely updating of key information thatis stored securely and compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Propose and implement ways to encourage patients to take responsibility for theirrepeat prescription ordering, and to highlight waste issues. To provide simple health information advice in line with NHS policies and serviceprotocols and approved sources. To process confidential/sensitive patient information on behalf of the RepeatPrescription Hub team
