Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

United Living Group is a leading infrastructure, construction, and property services company in the UK. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Site Manager will be responsible for managing and controlling site activities to ensure successful project completion within budget, quality standards, and contract period. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external departments to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily site operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Organize and coordinate site resources to optimize effectiveness and maintain high standards of Health and Safety.
  • Induct employees and sub-contractors on site, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with United Way IMS and Project Filing Guide.
  • Review and coordinate contract drawings and specifications for all work sections.
  • Ensure records of requests for information, verbal instructions, delay, and disruption are maintained to protect company liabilities.
  • Identify and requisition site equipment, plant, and materials to ensure completion of works.
  • Communicate regularly with the Line Manager on site progress, advising of issues that may impact or change the contract programme.
  • Chair/attend weekly sub-contractor progress/planning meetings and record minutes.
  • Maintain high-quality daily records of site activities.
  • Supervise the implementation of work safety plans, method statements, risk assessments, and other works procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with external and internal departments to ensure smooth running of the site and tasks are undertaken in line with the programme requirements.
Requirements:
  • Relevant construction-related level 4 and above qualification (HNC/NVQ).
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • Valid driving license.
  • SMSTS certificate.
  • First Aid at Work certificate desirable.
  • Fire Marshall certificate desirable.
  • Membership or working towards MCIOB or RICS is desirable.
