Carrington West is collaborating with a prominent private consultancy in the region, seeking a proficient Urban Planning Specialist/Senior Urban Planning Specialist to become a vital part of their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and other necessary consents.
  • Conducting thorough research into relevant planning policies and specific legislation to provide informed client advice on planning requirements.
  • Supporting project management on behalf of clients, including team coordination and delegation of tasks to team members.
  • Assisting senior management with business development activities and networking with clients and referrers.
  • Coordinating and drafting planning appraisals, planning statements, appeal statements, community involvement statements, and other essential planning documentation.
  • Engaging in negotiations with local authorities, statutory bodies, and third parties to achieve consensus on planning issues.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in urban planning.
  • Membership in the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Exceptional project management and communication abilities.
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering planning projects.
