About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Fashion Buyer to join our team at Peacocks. As a key member of our product development and strategy team, you will play a crucial role in driving the business forward by sourcing, developing, buying, and delivering a specific range of products at the right cost, right time, and right place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Create and execute the buying strategy, ensuring trends and fashion are translated appropriately, creating product lines that are relevant to our brand and customer.
  • Supply Chain Management: Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimum product, prices, and terms of contract, utilizing supplier expertise to improve range and knowledge.
  • Merchandising and Stock Management: Work with the merchandising team to optimize stock levels within budget guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Provide effective guidance and training to junior team members.
Requirements
  • Experience: Fashion retail buying experience with a commercial mindset.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of current fashion trends and market knowledge.
  • Skillset: Excellent negotiation skills, ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, numerate with strong analytical skills, organized and detailed-oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills.
