About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. You will work closely with our pharmacy team to prepare and dispense prescriptions, counsel patients on medication use, and provide information and advice to nursing and medical staff on drug usage and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Counsel patients on medication use and provide advice on drug-related queries
  • Communicate with nursing and medical staff on drug usage and availability
  • Organize the timely supply of out-of-stock medication to patients
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to achieve departmental goals
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You will have a proven track record of working in a pharmacy environment and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Desirable qualifications include NVQ Level 3 and BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent, and experience of working in an NHS hospital environment.
