About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dining Services Assistant to join our team at Wellington Grange in Chichester, West Sussex. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping various food items
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Support the chef in delivering high-quality meals using fresh local produce and ingredients
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and their families

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
