We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Community Engagement Specialist to join our team at Western Power. As a key member of our Community Engagement team, you will play a critical role in shaping our approach to community engagement and social performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic engagement plans to support internal and external engagement activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Western Power's community and stakeholder engagement approach for new infrastructure and maintenance projects.
- Design and deliver engagement strategies for multiple projects, including developing communications, identifying innovative engagement methods, and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Engage with rural stakeholders and communities, requiring travel to regional areas.
- Advocate for community input to decision-making and enhance Western Power's reputation with community and stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Social Planning, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in communication, community engagement, stakeholder management, or a related field.
- Subject matter expertise in incorporating best practice communication and community engagement practices in delivering large and contentious infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) spectrum.
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at multiple stakeholder levels.
